Note on Husband: Seth SHRIGLEY

I have been in touch for sometime with a man who is a direct descendant of Seth Shrigley.

 

According to him, spoken family history has it that Seth drove the 1st. train across India.

 

Seth's grand-father fought for the East India Company.

 

Seth has not been found on the 1871 Census.

 

No death certificate has yet been found for Seth.

I have my Shrigley line back to late 1600's / early 1700's.

 

They started off in Macclesfield, Cheshire.

The 1st one arrived in Saddlewoth in 1740, where he married.

 

Then it was -> Delph -> Linthwaite -> Huddersfield -> Marsden -> Manchester -> Bolton -> Aspull [ where I was born ].
